Hi and thanks for coming here to find out more about me and my story.
My journey as a marketer started out in University when I first discovered the science behind persuasion through several units on creative advertising. My advertising lecturer had an infectious passion for excellence in advertising and this had a big influence on the future of my life in business. I thought I was destined to work in an ad agency, the reality was far from the truth!
While I was studying to work in advertising agencies and hone my craft of copywriting and art direction I supported my passions with over 4 years of telemarketing, sales and consulting working for one of Perth’s largest website development companies. I loved being able to speak and work with real business owners and help them with online marketing.
When I finished my studies and was ready and qualified to work in an ad agency, I decided to focus on web marketing rather than traditional marketing. It just made sense to me and was more exciting to see the results and ongoing success that could be created online in comparison to full page ads that died the day after they were printed.
Since then I have managed a website company inside an ad agency, run my own freelance marketing consultancy business and then in 2007 launched Australia’s first dedicated online video marketing business and video business directory, Adsonvids. In early 2008 I was helping clients use Facebook advertising and leverage social networking sites long before they became a buzz word in the media. My companies have produced over 300 videos for businesses of all sizes and I am still actively involved in the day to day running of our green screen and film studio in Balcatta, Western Australia.
In recent years I have delivered countless presentations to thousands of business owners across Australia and worked with organisations of all sizes – from small trade based businesses to large corporates, franchises and Government departments too.
Top clients include the world’s largest real estate franchise RE/MAX, The Western Australian Government’s Business Growth Centre, Action Coach Business Coaching, BRW Fast 100 Company Worldwide Salon Marketing and Signarama Australia to name a few.
Today I spend my time following my passion with online video marketing and guiding clients through effective strategies to grow their business and improve the results they get online. I run regular workshops in Perth and speak at events all over Australia and am very interested in talking to you about any speaking opportunities you have in mind.
